What all I want is you to grow as much as possible during your time in the Sahay lab and achieve success in whatever career you pursue. I am a plant scientist driven by curiosity about how plants adapt to our ever-changing climate. I explore the remarkable ways plants prepare themselves for future environmental challenges - often before we even realize those changes are coming. At the heart of my work lies photosynthesis - the engine of plant life. I investigate how this complex process responds and adjusts to various environmental conditions, uncovering the hidden mechanisms that drive plant resilience. Through a blend of fundamental and applied plant physiology, I enjoy asking bold questions and thinking creatively to unlock new insights in and beyond photosynthesis. My ultimate goal is to harness this knowledge to help design climate-smart crops and sustainable agricultural systems for the future. I am a Cat Mom.
